About the Day of Clays
The second annual Day of Clays will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, at Selwood Farm in Alpine, Alabama. Join us for a day of clay shooting to support active-duty military service members, veterans and their dependents by raising funds for UA Online scholarships.
The competition will be held on a standard 100-target, 18-station course featuring multiple contest stations with prizes. Carts and ammunition will be provided.
Participants are asked to supply their own 12- or 20-gauge shotguns. Two participants on the same team can share a shotgun. Rental shotguns are available at the venue for $20.
All event participants will enjoy breakfast, lunch and snacks on the course. Awards for the highest team score and multiple individual awards will be given.
Through our online programs, the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education offers access to The University of Alabama’s premier degrees from anywhere in the world, so service members and their families can earn a degree no matter where life takes them.
Our military service members and their families make sacrifices for us every day, and we want to make sure their education goals are within their reach. Participation in events like Day of Clays benefits UA Online scholarships for military families to help make that possible.
